Mary Reusch has painted landscapes for many years, though recently she has become interested in using landscape as metaphor. This idea has encouraged her to view weeds emerging through concrete as nature’s irrepressible will to live. To further this thought, she is now painting water: the tranquility, the depth, the reflections, and the power, all exemplifying emotional states. Mary paints primarily oil on linen or copper.
