Sri Soekarmoen McCarthy
I fancy myself as a photographer and have been taking photos of everything - buildings, people, flowers, wildlife, and barns old - ugly barns. “There is no such thing as ugly,” my father used to say, “change your lens and you'll see something beautiful.” On July 2, 2014, I took a watercolor lesson and I have been painting ever since. Photography has taught me to see objects in many different angles. Painting has taught me to see opportunities and to take more chances. I don’t have a message behind my painting. I am quite content with the joy of creating a painting.
